About Machine Fault Guide
How Machine Fault Guide organizes source-linked equipment fault codes and communicates uncertainty.
Machine Fault Guide is an independent research and navigation site for commercial, industrial, marine, laboratory and field-equipment fault codes. It is not a manufacturer website, authorized service centre or substitute for the manual and workplace procedures that apply to a specific machine.
What the site is designed to do
- help a user match a displayed code to a brand and product family;
- show the short source description without turning it into an unsupported diagnosis;
- expose the primary source used for the record;
- identify missing model or controller scope;
- separate owner-safe observation from work that needs qualified personnel;
- provide a correction path when a record and source do not agree.
What the site does not claim
The site does not claim that a code identifies the failed part, that a meaning covers every model, that a reset makes equipment safe, or that a listed action replaces local safety requirements. Brand names identify equipment only and do not imply affiliation.
Current evidence boundary
The current dataset was assembled from source URLs recorded in the project seed file. Many records are source-linked at product-family level but still need model/controller confirmation. That limitation is shown publicly rather than filled with a guess.
